Treat the specification as a common brief for every supplier. Identify whether measurements are internal or external and whether the price should include the insert, assembly, export cartons and logistics. Price examples help planning; a selected style and finish alone do not define an order that can be compared or produced.

From Enquiry to Approved Production
Design support and quotation
Use a reference photograph to explain the direction, then list the details it does not establish: dimensions, paper, insert and finish scope. Request identified alternatives where a decision is open. A quote for those alternatives should retain the same quantity and delivery basis so the effect of each choice is visible. Free design support and a 3D mockup help review the structure and logo position. The quotation should state the materials, finishing, insert, quantity, tooling or setup, sample arrangements, packing and delivery scope.
Physical sample
A physical sample checks the parts a digital mockup cannot: size, stiffness, colour, surface feel, closure and product fit. Samples usually take 3–5 days after the structure and artwork are confirmed. Agree the sample fee, courier cost, revisions and any order credit before proceeding.
Bulk production and shipment
Bulk production usually takes 15–25 days after sample approval, depending on the specification and quantity. Confirm production, inspection, packing and transport as separate parts of the schedule. For suitable fully confirmed projects, fastest dispatch may be about 7 days; availability must be checked for the order.

Quote Questions
What should a quote cover?
Check the specification revision, quantity per design and size, production price, setup and sample charges, packing and named delivery basis. Ask the team to identify exclusions and unresolved items. Compare totals only after both offers cover the same scope; a blank cost line should not be treated as free.
Can I start without finished artwork?
Yes. Send the product information, logo if available and reference direction, and distinguish the files ready for production from those still being developed. Structural review can establish the dieline; final artwork placement, colour reference and finish layers must be confirmed before sampling and printing.
Can I inspect a sample before bulk production?
Yes. Review a physical sample before approving production. Check it with the actual product and record any requested changes in writing.
