Custom Corporate Gift Set Boxes with Fitted Compartments

A compartmented corporate gift box suits a kit with a stable item list and a clear packing owner. It becomes expensive to revise when drinkware, clothing sizes or regional accessories are still changing. Freeze the contents and variants before approving the insert.

Kits & Onboarding

Plan the Complete Gift Kit Before the Box

Assign a location, orientation and packing responsibility to every SKU. A heavy tumbler should not bear on a folded garment, and a cable should not require lifting the whole tray to confirm that it is present. Sharing one outer box across staff and VIP kits can simplify artwork, but different contents still need separate insert and pack-out references. Compare tooling, filling time and packed-carton data together; no universal freight advantage follows from choosing pulp instead of foam.

Run a complete pack-out with the real items and include the card, sleeve and any protective bags. Check that a packer can identify a missing item before closing the lid. Keep a separate contents photograph and carton label for each kit variant.

We engineer the layout from your real item list (send dimensions or samples): drinkware collars, notebook wells, cable channels, apparel platforms. Mixed hard-and-soft item sets are the specialty — the hoodie platform keeps the mug from bruising it. Use our multi-product gift set packaging plan to prepare the item list and layout inputs.

Outer options run from matte black rigid to velvet with ribbon for VIP tiers. Carry handle version available via the gable format. See also the corporate gifting solutions page.

Bespoke Options

Program Options

Built for HR and event timelines:

Item-List Engineering

Send the swag list; the layout drawing schedule is confirmed after review.

Lid Culture Print

The welcome line printed where every new hire reads it first.

Tier Variants

Same outer, different layouts for staff / manager / VIP tiers.

Flat-Pack Logistics

Confirm whether this structure and its inserts can be supplied flat, then time the complete assembly and filling operation with the intended packer.

Insert Decision

EVA, Paperboard or Molded Pulp — the Kit's Real Cost Driver

On a multi-item kit the box is rarely what decides the unit cost. The insert is: it sets the tooling bill, the assembly time and, increasingly, whether the recipient's employer can put the kit through a recycling policy.

EVA foam Paperboard Molded pulp
Holds irregular shapes Best — precise cavities Weakest — folds and dividers only Good — molded to the form
Tooling Low, easy to revise Die only Mould required, longer lead time
Where it wins on cost Small runs, spec still changing Simple layouts Repeat high-volume programs
End of life Check local acceptance for the specific foam Check complete paperboard construction and local collection Verify binders/coatings and local collection; compostability needs separate evidence

The trade-off is well documented across the trade: EVA is efficient for precise cavities and small revisions, paperboard is cost-effective when the structure is simple but complex folding adds labour, and molded pulp needs tooling and a longer lead time yet becomes efficient on repeated high-volume programs. Read that as a decision rule rather than a preference: if your kit contents are still being negotiated internally, EVA keeps you flexible. Once the kit is locked and you are reordering it every quarter, pulp starts winning on both cost and the sustainability line item.

Insert material alone does not establish a transport saving. Compare the actual insert nesting, protective packing, units per carton and gross weight for each proposed material. A component that nests well before assembly may still use the same space once the complete kit is packed.

Programme Planning

Kitting Is Labour, and Labour Is the Line Nobody Budgets

A five-item kit is not five times a one-item box. Every additional SKU in the cavity adds a pick, a placement and an orientation check per unit, and that time multiplies by your whole run.

Three consequences worth planning around before you sign off a kit design:

  • Cavity design is an assembly-speed decision. A cavity that only accepts its item one way round is slower to fill than one that accepts it either way — but it is the one that helps the packer maintain the intended orientation, which still needs a contents check. Choose deliberately: symmetry where presentation allows it, keyed cavities only where orientation genuinely matters.
  • Mixed-SKU kits need a reconciliation plan. If your kit contains a size-variable item — apparel in S/M/L, or a regional power adapter — the run splits into variants, and each variant needs its own pack-out, carton label and count. Decide the variant split before production, not during.
  • Client-supplied items change the timeline. If part of the kit ships to us for insertion, the whole programme waits on the slowest inbound item. Confirm arrival dates for supplied goods before we schedule the assembly window, and build in buffer for customs on anything crossing a border to reach us.

A practical rule for corporate calendars: an onboarding or event kit that must land on a fixed date should have its contents frozen well before the box is signed off, because a content change after tooling means either new tooling or a compromise cavity. Both cost more than the meeting that would have locked the list.

Quantity Tier & Pricing Benchmarks

Indicative ex-works tiers for a 400×300×120mm kit box with engineered foam (box only):

Quantity Tier Indicative Price (USD / EXW) Recommended Use Case
500 Sets $3.70 – $5.00 Company-wide programs
1,000 Sets $2.90 – $3.90 Multi-office annual volume
3,000+ Sets $2.40 – $3.20 Enterprise & event scale
Earlier reference scenarios below the current 500-piece minimum (not available for ordering)

These original quantity and price references are retained for comparison. They are not current order options or quotations. Do not apply a lower-volume price to a different quantity.

Quantity TierIndicative Price (USD / EXW)Recommended Use Case
100 Sets$6.80 – $9.80Executive onboarding, event VIP kits
300 Sets$4.60 – $6.40Quarterly onboarding cohorts

*Prices are ex-works (EXW) and vary with paper grade, dimensions, ink coverage, and finishing. Confirm tooling ownership, storage, reuse charges and any setup waiver in the written quotation; repeat orders still follow the current production minimum.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Can one box hold hard and soft items together?

Yes — that's the specialty. Platforms separate drinkware and tech from apparel so nothing bruises or rattles; mixed layouts are engineered from your actual item dimensions.

How do we start without knowing layout feasibility?

Send the item list (dimensions or product links). The layout drawing schedule is confirmed after review. Physical samples typically take 3–5 days to prepare; courier transit is confirmed separately.

Do kits ship assembled?

Request a quote for the required supply state and any assembly work. Check which components travel flat, who fills the kit and what instructions are supplied; time and charges are project-specific.

Can tiers share one design?

Yes — same outer with different internal layouts for staff / manager / VIP keeps the program visually unified.

What is the MOQ?

500 pcs per design and size. Define the layout work, sample scope and quantities of each kit variant in the quotation.
