Plan Shared Outer Boxes and Device-Specific Trays
Group cases by their actual outer geometry, material and protruding features. Camera surrounds, ring stands and wallet attachments can alter tray depth even within one device family. Decide whether the shopper must see the case through a window or whether a printed model panel is enough. A shared outer works only if the tray and identification system prevent an incorrect case being packed into an apparently valid box.
Load every proposed variant and check window alignment, removal and corner pressure. Confirm the device name, barcode and tray revision against the contents. Include a pack-out check that distinguishes similar-looking models before the carton is closed.
The PET window is optically flat (no funhouse warp over the case pattern); the tray tilts the case 8° toward the glass so the camera-cutout story reads on shelf. A satin ribbon pull lifts the case out without fingernail-scratching the tray.
Soft-touch lamination with spot UV is the category-standard finish. Peg version available with reinforced tabs (hang tab boxes); e-commerce runs pair with tear-strip mailers.
