Confirm Tab Strength and Front-Panel Readability
Obtain the retailer's peg and spacing requirements before drawing the slot. The slot position affects whether the pack hangs level, while the tab fold and local reinforcement affect repeated handling. A front window can shift both stiffness and balance. If the same carton must stand on a counter, compare the shelf base and tuck arrangement as a separate requirement rather than assuming a hanging carton will stand reliably.
Hang the production-weight item on the intended fixture. Check forward tilt, tab deformation, rubbing between neighbouring packs and the visibility of the front copy. Remove and replace it repeatedly to review the actual handling points.
Slot geometry follows the fixture: euro-slot for standard pegboard, round hook-hole for wire pegs, delta cuts for double-prong security pegs. The print face is engineered for the 1-metre read — product name and key claim legible from aisle distance.
